Public meetings to discuss improvements to Main Street in Festus and Bailey Road and Mississippi Avenue in Crystal City that had been scheduled for today through Thursday (Feb. 1-3) have been cancelled due to weather forecasts that call for ice and snow, authorities announced this afternoon.
The meetings scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 15-17, at the First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, 107 N. Truman Blvd., in Crystal City are still expected to be held. At those meetings, information will be provided about the “M2M: Main to Mississippi Plan," which is part of the Great Streets Initiative focused on improving those main drags in the Twin City area.
The remaining three open house-style meetings remain scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 15), 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 16) and 4-7 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 17).
