Fox C-6 Board of Education members have decided to hold their special meeting scheduled today (Feb. 8) remotely because snow is predicted to fall in the area.
District officials also have decided to dismiss classes at 11 a.m. today because of the threat of inclement weather.
The school board members will hold today’s special meeting at 4 p.m. via the Zoom teleconferencing app to discuss the district’s search for a new superintendent.
The public will be able to view the meeting on Fox’s YouTube channel, said JP Prezzavento, the district’s communication and instructional technology coordinator.
The meeting originally was going to be held at the Fox C-6 Service Center service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.
On Feb. 2, the board voted unanimously to pay the EGL (Education, Governance, Leadership) Association $12,775 to oversee the search for a superintendent to replace Nisha Patel, who is leaving at the end of the school year to take a job as the superintendent of the School District of Clayton.
Patel announced on Jan. 20 that her last day with Fox will be June 30, after heading up the Fox district since start of the 2019-2020 school year.
Patel’s first day with Clayton will be July 1. She is being paid $185,200 this school year at Fox and will be paid $215,000 in her first year at Clayton.
