The rebuilt Festus Arby's is set to reopen this week.

The wait for an Arby’s roast beef sandwich in Festus is almost over. The Arby’s at the corner of Hwy. A and Truman Boulevard will reopen Nov. 28.

The restaurant closed its doors over the summer to be torn down and rebuilt on the same site with an “inspired” design, said Fred Fleischer, vice president of corporate communications for United States Beef Corp., Arby’s parent company.

“It was time to bring this restaurant into the 21st century,” said John David, CEO of US Beef Corp. “So we’ve scraped it to the ground and rebuilt. This new Arby’s ‘inspire’ design is a game changer.”

The restaurant will reflect a deli-like environment, Davis said.

“The revitalized restaurant includes updates to the interior and exterior, such as a fresh new color palate, strong geometric shapes and renewed materials and subway tiling,” Davis said.

Also, the restaurant will have Energy Star-compliant food service equipment and LED lighting.

The updated 2,500-square-foot restaurant will employ about 40 full- and part-time workers.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 28, Arby’s customers will be able to spin a prize wheel and possibly win some free items.
