William Burrous of Dittmer plays the Missouri Lottery’s Show Me Cash game each day.
On Feb. 18, his persistence paid off when he and another player in the St. Louis area each bought tickets that matched all five numbers from that day’s Show Me Cash drawing, providing each player with half of the $115,000 jackpot.
Burrous said in the time he’s played Show Me Cash, he has often found himself matching four of the five numbers. While checking the numbers the morning after he bought the winning ticket, he realized he had matched all five.
The winning numbers for the Feb. 18 Show Me Cash drawing were 8, 14, 20, 26 and 32.
Burrous’ winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Express Mart, 900 Peach Tree Plaza, in Hillsboro.
