A Discount Tire location store is expected to open in a few months at 800 Arnold Commons Drive, near the Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
A company representative said the tire store chain hopes to open in October
“In Arnold, we have seen a growing demand and need for tires,” a member of the Discount Tire public relations team said.
“We see great potential there and wanted to expand.”
Discount Tire opened its first store in 1960 in Ann Arbor, Mich., and is now based in Scottsdale, Ariz. It has expanded over the years and is now the nation’s largest independent tire and wheel retailer, operating more than 1,000 stores in 35 states, according to the company’s website, discounttire.com.
“We have undertaken this growth in a responsible manner, scouting every potential store location in person to ensure the store can succeed and that employees can comfortably live in the surrounding area,” according to the website.
The company offers tires, wheels, windshield wipers and other car accessories, as well as tire and wheel services.
