Crystal City officials are asking residents not to park vehicles on city streets if possible, so street can pre-treat roads in anticipation of freezing rain that’s predicted for Friday (Jan.13).
Street crews are scheduled to begin pre-treating roads at 5 a.m. Friday, the city reported in a written statement today.
Operations at the Crystal City Hall, the Court and the Public Works Office depend on weather conditions, officials say. The same is true for trash and recycling service.
In case of power outages, the City Hall and the Crystal City Fire Station may be used as warming stations. To report a power outage, contact Ameren at 1-800-552-7583, and for a gas outage, call Laclede Gas at 1-800-887-4173, officials suggest.
