To honor the late William Earl Cook Sr., a drive-by procession will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday (April 4) at Mahn Funeral Home, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus. A previous Leader story said no funeral services would be held.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, and a celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
Mr. Cook, who lived in Festus and was a former Festus city councilman and mayor, died March 27, 2020, at his home. He was 80.
He was survived by his wife: Rhonda Kay (Burgess) Abbas-Cook, seven children, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
