The Northwest Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Northwest High School parking lot, 6005 Cedar Hill Road, in Cedar Hill.

“It’s going to be a fun family activity. The weather should be nice,” said Cindy Hayes, chamber board member and Jefferson County Library Northwest Branch manager.

At the inaugural event, at least 25 vendors will be on hand, selling quilts, wooden items, polymer earrings, cake toppers, flavored coffee and other items, Hayes said.

She said a Pampered Chef consultant also will be at the event.

“We have one person who’s going to set up a flea market, but everything else is new crafts,” Hayes said.

She said it makes sense for the chamber to hold a craft fair.

“It is a way to support small, local businesses,” she said.

Hayes said space for more vendors is still available. She also said the chamber is seeking volunteers.

Anyone interested in having a space or volunteering at the evet may call Hayes at 636-677-8186.
