The Festus Mayor’s Summer Cruise will be held this Saturday, June 4.
While the cruise will begin at 6 p.m., festivities begin earlier.
At 2 p.m., a car show will be held on the Festus Public Library parking lot, 400 W. Main St., in Festus.
“A DJ will play music from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library parking lot,” said Barb Lowry, the city’s recreation and tourism director. “The car cruise starts at 6 p.m. There’s no specific ending to it.”
It’s free to attend the car show, participate in the cruise or watch the vehicles cruise along Main Street.
All licensed vehicles are welcome, but all traffic laws will be enforced. Spectators are urged to bring lawn chairs so they can sit and watch the cruise from the sidewalk.
The event will kick off 2022 events sponsored by the Festus Tourism Commission and the city of Festus.
