Byrnes Mill residents may not be able to contact the city for the next few days.
Police Chief Frank T. Selvaggio said a lightning strike on Sunday night, April 26, near City Hall, 141 Osage Executive Circle, caused an electrical shutdown.
Selvaggio said the city is a Spectrum customer.
“We are still without computers three days later,” he said.
Selvaggio said the phone system is down, but 911 and non-emergency police lines will go through Jefferson County 911 Dispatch Center.
Selvaggio said he hopes all systems will be back online soon but could not give an exact date.
