Brookdale Farms is now on the market for $5.9 million.

The property, 8004 Twin River Road, southeast of Eureka off Hwy. W in Jefferson County, has an events center, wedding barn, horse stable, Meramec River frontage and boat ramp.

Chuck Maher, owner and broker of Reality Executives Premiere in Eureka, said his company is handling the sale of the nearly 300-acre property. He said it is a good investment opportunity.

“It’s a very unique property, one that doesn’t come up every day,” he said.

On the listing page, the property is described as having a “highly sought-after event center and 3,600-square-foot wedding barn.”

“This stunning and unique property offers open fields and a gazebo overlooking a beautiful 1-acre stocked pond,” the website states. “The pavilion with extended patio and full-brick fireplace is a perfect gathering space.”

Jerry Kirk, who opened Brookdale Farms in 1981, sold the business operations to a management group in 2021, but he continued to own the land.

The management group, which includes Rick DeStefane, Nick DeStefane, Ben Strake, Brian Canavan and Jared Ribley, will continue to operate the property’s numerous businesses after the sale, Maher said.

He said the new property owner would act as landlord to the management group.

“None of the venues are changing,” Maher said.

The farm is home to the annual Balloon Glow, which will be held July 28-29 this year. At the event, more than a dozen hot air balloons are inflated to create a “magical glow in the sky,” according to the business’ website.

It also holds Brookdale Farms’ County Christmas events, which are scheduled to run from Nov. 24 to Dec. 23. Guests can visit Santa, take a hayride or skate on the property’s newest attraction, an outdoor ice-skating rink. Its website states the rink is “made of synthetic materials, which means it’s great no matter what the weather.”
