A body of a 54-year-old Pacific man was found at about noon today (Oct. 28) in Don Robinson State Park, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.

Bissell said the man appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The body was discovered by a family, who were walking their dog on one of the park trails. The dog located the body about a mile into the park and about 40 yards off the trail, Bissell said.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the man.
