The city of Arnold is under a water boil order until further notice due to a major water main break early this morning (Dec. 24), Public Water Supply District No. 1 announced.
A break on the 10-inch water main is causing low water pressure, but water district officials do not believe the water has been contaminated. However, the district is advising customers to boil water as a precautionary measure until the water can be tested.
The district said a notice will be posted on its website at pwsd1jeffco.com when the boil advisory is lifted.
The district said it is working to restore normal water service. Once the break is repaired and service is restored, air will be in water lines, so customers will need to run faucets to push out the air.
