The Arnold Farmers Market will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday (May 20). For the second Saturday in a row, the Farmers Market will be held at the Arnold Recreation Center outdoor pool parking lot, 1695 Missouri State Road.
Typically, the Farmers Market is held at the front of Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road near the Meramec River, but because of recent flooding, it’s too muddy to hold the market there on Saturday, said Parks and Recreation director Dickie Brown.
He said the front of the park has been cleaned up and if weather cooperates next week, the Farmers Market will return to Arnold City Park on Saturday, May 27.
At the market this Saturday, strawberries and strawberry shortcake will be available, as will biscuits and gravy. Vendors will sell a variety of home-grown and home-made items, like fresh produce, plants, meat, baked goods, honey, candles and soap.
In addition, students in Seckman jazz bands will perform.
