A 31-year-old Hillsboro woman was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a crash on Sunday morning, July 28, on Hwy. B east of Forest Drive in Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:17 a.m., the woman was driving a westbound 2017 Ford Escape when she failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the road, struck a sign, struck a culvert and overturned, the report said.
The woman was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
According to a hospital spokesman, the woman was treated and released.
At 2:26 a.m., the woman was arrested for an alleged DWI and held at the hospital until her release, the report said.
The woman’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against her and, as of July 29, none have been filed.
According to the report, the woman was not wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
