A Valles Mines woman was seriously injured Friday morning, March 24, in a one-car accident on Hwy. V north of Tiny Creek Road between De Soto and Valles Mines, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:10 a.m., Kayelyn R. Declue, 19, of Valles Mines was driving a 2004 Honda Accord north on the highway and lost control of the car, which ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
She was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County.
Declue was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
