Two women and three children were injured Tuesday afternoon, May 31, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 141 and Romaine Creek Road between Fenton and Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:15 p.m., Brenda L. Daniels, 30, of Hillsboro was driving a southbound 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and reportedly ran a red light at the intersection, and the SUV struck the right side of a northbound 2019 Chrysler Pacifica minivan driven by Emma M. Holder, 30, of Fenton, who was turning left onto Romaine Creek Road, the report said.
Daniels was moderately injured, and Holder had minor injuries. Two Fenton girls, one 4 and the other 6, and a 1-year-old Fenton boy were passengers in the Pacifica. The 4-year-old was moderately injured, and the other two children had minor injuries, according to the report.
Daniels was taken by Rock Township ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Holder and the three children were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. However, the hospital had no information about her, a Mercy spokeswoman said.
No information was available about the children’s conditions.
According to the report, everyone was wearing seat belts or using safety devices and both vehicles were totaled.
The patrol did not release the children’s names because they are juveniles.
