Two people from Dittmer were hurt in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning (Nov. 16) on Hwy. 30 at Melody Hill Drive in Dittmer.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Carl Garfaro, 70, of Dittmer was driving a 2006 Jeep Commander east on Hwy. 30 at Melody Hill Drive at 11:50 a.m. when he stopped to yield for a wide-load vehicle ahead of him. As he was stopped, the rear of his Jeep was struck by the front of an eastbound 2000 Toyota Tundra driven by Carolyn Sides, 53, of Dittmer.
The report made no mention of injury to Garfaro, but Sides and a passenger in her Toyota, Harrison Lane, 53, of Dittmer, were taken by Big River Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Sides with minor injuries and Lane with moderate injuries.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Toyota had extensive damage while the Jeep had moderate damage.
