traffic accident 2 patrol patch

A Dittmer man and a St. Louis man were hurt Thursday night (Feb. 16) in a one-car accident on I-44 at Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 10:10 p.m., Zachary L. Favazza, 19, of St. Louis was driving a 2008 Mercury Sable east on I-44, and the car ran off the right side of the road and overturned, the report said.

Both Favazza and a passenger in the car – Korey A. Tacchi, 20, of Dittmer – were moderately injured, the report said.

Favazza was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released.

Tacchi was taken by ambulance to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. No information about his condition was available this afternoon (Feb. 17).

The two men were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The car was totaled, the report said.
