Two Grubville men were seriously injured the night of Aug. 2 when a car they were in ran off Hwy. Y south of Hwy. 30 in Grubville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 11:30 p.m., Blake R. Brandt, 20, of Grubville was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Metro north on Hwy. Y when the car went off the right side of the road and he overcorrected, causing the car to run off the left side of the road, where it overturned and hit a fence and a tree, the report said.
Brandt and a passenger in the car – Robert N. White, 30, of Grubville – were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Brandt and White were not wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
