Two women from Cedar Hill were injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon (Oct. 9) on Hwy. 30 in House Springs.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Michael Lawson, 65, of Lonedell was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado north on Conrad Smith Drive at 3:28 p.m. and had stopped for a stop sign at Hwy. 30. He started the Silverado forward and was struck by an eastbound 2001 Subaru Forester driven by Georgia Sieberg, 78, of Cedar Hill. Both vehicles came to rest facing east on Hwy. 30, blocking the intersection, the report said.
Sieberg sustained moderate injuries and was taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said. A passenger in the Subaru, Beverly McNulty, 83, of Cedar Hill suffered serious injuries and she was taken to Mercy Hospital South by Big River Ambulance, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
The report made no mention of an injury to Lawson.
Lawson was wearing a seat belt but the two women in the Subaru were not, the report said. The Subaru was totaled while the Chevrolet had extensive damage, according to the report.
