Three people were injured in a two-car collision Sunday morning (Nov. 7) on Hwy. 141 at 13th Street in the Springdale area between Arnold and Fenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Alma Timmons, 79, of Arnold was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion north on Hwy. 141 and had stopped for a red light at 13th Street at 8:30 a.m. when her car was struck from behind by a 2004 Buick Century driven by Jerry Heitman, 82, of Imperial.
Heitman, Timmons and a passenger in the Buick, Carlette Heitman, 78, of Arnold all suffered moderate injuries and all were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said; both vehicles were totaled.
