Arnold Zingers Mart crash 6-10-23

A Chevrolet Colorado drove through a wall June 10 at the Zingers Mart gas station in Arnold.

An Arnold woman drove a pickup through the propane storage cage and a wall at the Zingers Mart gas station, 1502 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. No one was injured in the accident and no hazardous materials leaked from the propane containers, Arnold Police reported.

Arnold building commissioner Randy Noland said today, June 12, that the gas station had not reopened.

“They probably will not be open today or tomorrow (June 13) at least,” he said. “We have to do some shoring and a temporary wall before they can reopen. When they get that work done, they will reopen. I would assume at the earliest, they may reopen Wednesday (June 14).”

Judy Goff told police the gas pedal became stuck on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado she was driving at about 5 p.m. June 10 before the pickup went through the west wall of the convenience store. It did not strike anyone inside the building, the report said.

Along with damage to the building and propane storage cage and containers, merchandise and electronic gaming machines were damaged, Arnold Police reported.

Goff was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

The pickup was driven from the scene, but the extent of the damage was not reported.
