A St. Louis woman was hurt Wednesday evening (Nov. 28) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 110 east of Liberty Meadows Road north of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:32 p.m., Yvette J. Doyle, 61, of St. Louis was stopped in a 2015 Kia Sportage on the right shoulder of eastbound Hwy. 110 before attempting to make a U-turn onto westbound Hwy. 110, and the front of an eastbound 2009 Pontiac G6 struck the right side of the Sportage, the report said.
Michael J. Pyatt, 33, of De Soto was driving the G6. No injuries were reported for him.
Doyle was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony’s Medical Center) in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The G6 was extensively damaged, and the Sportage was moderately damaged, the report said.
