A 19-year-old Arnold man was injured in a crash on Thursday, Oct. 3, on Old Hwy. 21 at East Blecha Road, just west of Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:07 p.m., Joshua L. Sanders was driving a southbound 2012 Volkswagen Jetta and attempted to stop for another southbound vehicle, a 2017 GMC Sierra driven by Casey O. Green, 35, of St. Louis, that was waiting to turn onto Valley Drive, the report said. Sanders struck the rear of the GMC.
Sanders was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
According to a hospital spokesman, Sanders was treated and released.
Both Sanders and Green were wearing seat belts, the Volkswagen was extensively damaged, and the GMC moderately damaged.
