A 23-year-old Robertsville woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident Monday night (Jan. 25) on Hwy. TT south of Calverton Lane in south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:50 p.m., the woman was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier south on the highway, lost control of the car on the slick road, crossed the center of the road and then ran off the left side, where the car struck a tree, the report said.
The woman was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
The woman was arrested at 11:14 p.m. at the hospital.
Her name will not be published unless charges are filed against her, and as of this afternoon (Jan. 27), none had been filed.
