A man and a woman, both of Pevely, were hurt Saturday night (March 19) in a two-vehicle accident at Main Street and the West Outer Road in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 8:25 p.m., Michael E. Koyn, 64, of Pevely was in a westbound 2007 Kia Sportage on Imperial Main Street, and William D. Anderson, 16, of Imperial, headed east in a 2003 Ford Focus, made a left turn into the path of the SUV, and the front of it struck the front of the car, the report said.

No injuries were reported for Anderson.

Koyn and a passenger in the SUV – Nancy E. Koyn, 63, of Pevely – sustained moderate injures and were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.

Everyone involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Both the vehicles were totaled, the report said.
