Clinton A. Sharp, 58, of Pevely was seriously injured Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, when a car struck the motorcycle he was riding at Hwy. M and Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:31 a.m., Desirea N. Davis, 27, of Imperial was driving a southbound 2015 Chrysler 200 and struck the side of a westbound 2018 Harley-Davidson Road King driven by Sharp, who was ejected from the bike, the report said.

No injuries were reported for Davis.

Sharp was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in good condition this afternoon, Nov. 2, a hospital spokesman said.

Davis was wearing a seat belt, and Sharp was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.

The motorcycle was totaled, and the Chrysler was extensively damaged, the report said.
