A Park Hills man and a Potosi woman were injured Friday afternoon, Oct. 28, in a three-vehicle accident at highways 21 and 110 north of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:32 p.m., Jesse M. Brawley, 47, of Farmington was driving a southbound 1998 Dodge Dakota and while turning left from Hwy. 21 to Hwy. 110, struck a northbound 2021 Ram 2500 driven by Martin Alcala, 43, of De Soto, who was crossing the northbound lanes. Then the Dakota was pushed into a southbound 2004 GMC Yukon driven by Julia L. Scott, 62, of Potosi, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Brawley or Alcala. However, Scott had minor injuries and was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
A passenger in the Dakota – Kanial A. Smock, 42, of Park Hills – was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
All three drivers and Smock were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Dakota and Yukon were totaled, and the Ram was moderately damaged, the report said.
