Matthew C. Hauser, 32, of Pacific was hurt Wednesday night (July 22) in a motorcycle accident on Hwy. F at Cattail Lane in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:45 p.m., Hauser was riding a 1986 Harley-Davidson FXR north on the highway with no lights on, and Luke A. Staten, 21, of Pacific, driving a southbound 2017 Hyundai Accent, tried to turn left, and the front of the motorcycle struck the front of the car, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Staten.
However, Hauser was seriously hurt and taken by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the report said.
The hospital had no information about him, though, a hospital spokeswoman said this morning (July 24).
Staten was wearing a seat belt, and Hauser was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was totaled, and the Accent was extensively damaged, the report said.
