A Pacific man was injured Sunday afternoon (Dec. 19) in a one-car accident on West Osage Street west of Hardmann Street in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:50 p.m., Matthew D. Noles, 36, of Pacific fell asleep while driving a 2008 Acura TL west on West Osage Street, and the car ran off the south side of the road and struck an embankment, the report said.
He was seriously injured and taken by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was admitted, treated and discharged on Dec. 20, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Noles was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
