A Wentzville woman was injured Tuesday morning, Aug. 8, in a three-vehicle accident in St. Charles County that also involved a De Soto man and a Dardenne Prairie woman, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred at 11:07 a.m. when Nathaniel J. Grass, 24, of De Soto was driving a northbound 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix at Hwy. DD and Sommers Road and allegedly made an improper turn into the path of a westbound 2023 Buick Envision driven by Glora J. Vacliavik, 76, of Wentzville. The Grand Prix struck the Envision head-on, the report said.

After that collision, the rear of the Grand Prix struck the front of a southbound 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Christa D. Leavitt, 50, of Dardenne Prairie, according to the report.

No injuries were reported for Grass or Leavitt. However, Vacliavik was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The Grand Prix was totaled, the Envision was extensively damaged and the Explorer had minor damage, the report said.
