traffic accident patrol patch

A High Ridge man was injured in a four-vehicle crash on Hwy. 30 at Old Sugar Creek Road in Murphy on Sept. 26, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 1:15 p.m., Conner J. Sokolis, 20, was driving an eastbound GMC Sonoma when he reportedly lost control and travelled onto Old Sugar Creek Road, striking the left side of a northbound 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Charles G. Coleman, 61, of High Ridge. The Santa Fe was pushed into the front of a 2004 Ford Mustang driven north by Sharon L. Myers, 70, of High Ridge, and debris from the crash struck another northbound vehicle – a 2003 Dodge Durango driven by Douglas S. Huber, 61, of High Ridge, the report said.

Sokolis was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

According to the report, all drivers were wearing seat belts. The Sonoma, Santa Fe and Mustang were totaled while the Durango had minor damage.
