A Cedar Hill man was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash early on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At about 1 a.m., Theresa L. Bahr, 67, of Dittmer, driving a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup, was stopped at a red light on westbound Hwy. 30 at Hwy. PP, where a westbound 2007 Mercury Sable car driven by Matthew A. Richardson, 36, of Cedar Hill failed to stop. The front of the Sable struck the rear of the Sierra, the report said.

Richardson was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony’s Medical Center) in south St. Louis County with serious injuries. A hospital spokesman said today (Nov. 26) that he had died.

Bahr was moderately hurt, and a passenger in her vehicle – Andrew O. Wirtel, 17, Dittmer – had minor injuries. They were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. No information about their conditions was available today.

Bahr and Wirtel were wearing seat belts, and Richardson was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
