Edward Bryant, 63, of St. Louis died in a crash on Aug. 8 on Labarque Trail north of Sandcut Road, northwest of Don Robinson State Park in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4 p.m., Bryant, driving a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole with the left front of the vehicle, slid downhill and struck a tree, the report said.
Bryant was taken by the St. Louis Medical Examiner to the St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office, the report said.
The Highway Patrol no longer publishes names of those involved in accidents. The Medical Examiner’s Office identified Bryant as the man who died in the accident.
According to the report, the man was not wearing a seat belt., and the vehicle was totaled.
