Two people from Cadet, including an 11-year-old girl, were hurt in a two-vehicle accident Saturday (Oct. 29) in Old Mines in Washington County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Khris Boyer, 40, of Potosi was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado north on Hwy. 21 north of Hwy. 47 at 11:45 p.m. when he stopped to turn into a parking lot. His vehicle was struck from behind by a 2013 Hyundi Elantra driven by Patrick Aubuchon, 40, of Cadet, the report said.
Boyer was not hurt in the collision, but Aubuchon sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Washington County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, the report said. A passenger in the Hyundi, Elizabeth Aubuchon, 11, also of Cadet, sustained minor injuries and she was taken by Washington County Ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
Patrick Aubuchon was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said. An updates on Elizabeth Aubuchon’s condition was not available.
All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. Both vehicles were totaled.
