An Imperial man was injured in a crash Jan. 14 on I-55 south of Meramec Bottom Road in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:30 p.m., Nickolas G. Lynde, 27, was driving a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Spark when he allegedly failed to see the unlit trailer of a truck ahead of him, attempted to join the truck’s lane, struck the trailer, lost control of the vehicle and struck the concrete median, the report said.
Lynde was moderately injured and taken by Mehlville Fire protection district to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.
According to the report, Lynde was wearing a seat belt, the driver of the truck is unknown but both vehicles were moderately damaged.
