A High Ridge man was injured early Friday morning, May 5, in a one-car accident at 6848 Twin Rivers Road south of Eureka in Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:01 a.m., Joshua T. Pollock, 21, of High Ridge was driving a westbound 1996 Dodge Stratus and while trying to avoid hitting an animal, ran off the right side of the road, and the car overturned, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
