A 27-year-old De Soto man was injured Monday afternoon, Aug. 14, in a motorcycle crash on Fountain City Road east of Wagon Wheel Lane east of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:57 p.m., Joshiah L. Tegg, 27, was riding a westbound 2007 Honda Shadow when he swerved to avoid a downed telephone line, began skidding and overturned to the left and then slid off the right side of the road, where the undercarriage struck the ground, causing the bike to overturn onto its right side and eject him, the report said.
Tegg was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon, Aug. 15, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Tegg was wearing a helmet, and the motorcycle was moderately damaged.
