A St. Louis man was seriously injured Wednesday evening, May 17, in a head-on accident on Old Sugar Creek Road north of Johncor Lane in the Murphy area in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:15 p.m., Jason P. Robertson, 43, of St. Louis was driving a southbound 2005 Ford Expedition and drove into the path of a northbound 2003 Ford Expedition, causing a head-on crash. After the collision, the 2003 Expedition ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Rogerdal D. Alford, 21, of High Ridge, who was driving the older Expedition.
However, Robertson was taken by Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, according to the report.
The two drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
