A 21-year-old Lonedell man was seriously injured in a four-wheeler accident Sunday night, May 28, on Hwy. Y south of Morse Mill Road south of Grubville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:05 p.m., Jakob M. Tharp was riding a 2018 Polaris RZR north on the highway when the four-wheeler malfunctioned, skidded across the road and ran off the left side of the road, where it overturned, the report said.
Tharp was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according the report.
However, the hospital had no information about his condition, a Mercy spokesman said.
Tharp was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, the patrol reported.
The four-wheeler was moderately damaged, the report said.
