Monique French, 43, of Imperial was taken to the hospital Wednesday (Oct. 28) after the car she was driving was hit from behind on Hwy. 21 at Lions Den Road southwest of Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 5 p.m., French was preparing to make a left turn in a 2012 Nissan Sentra from a northbound highway lane onto Lions Den Road. Christopher E. Hutchason, 43, of Imperial was driving behind the Sentra in a 2004 Dodge 1500 and ran into the back of the Sentra as it slowed down, the report said.
French suffered a moderate injury and was transported by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (Oct. 29).
No injuries were reported for Hutchason.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the Highway Patrol reported.
The Sentra was extensively damaged, and the Dodge had minor damage, the report said.
