Donnie J. Schaumburg, 26, of Imperial was seriously hurt Sunday night (July 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 141 south of Schneider Drive between Arnold and Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 9:50 p.m., Schaumburg was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Hwy. 141 following behind a northbound SUV that had stopped at a stoplight, and Schaumburg failed to stop, and the car struck the rear of the SUV, the report said.
Anthony G. Hodges, 48, of Fenton was driving the SUV, a 2015 Ford Expedition. No injuries were reported for him.
Schaumburg was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in good condition this afternoon (July 17), a hospital spokesman said.
Hodges was wearing a seat belt, and Schaumburg was not wearing one, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
