Daniel R. Turner, 32, of Imperial was listed in serious condition today (Sept. 6), the day after he wrecked a Corvette on Seckman Road just west of the West Outer Road in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 4:45 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday (Sept. 5), Turner was driving a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette west on Seckman Road, and the car ran off the right side of the road before he attempted to correct, which caused the car to skid and strike a tree, the report said.
Turner was taken by private conveyance to SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton and then transferred to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where he was listed in serious condition this afternoon, a hospital spokesman said.
Turner was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The Corvette sustained moderate damage, the report said.
