Larry D. Potts, 33, of Imperial was hurt Saturday night (March 31) in a two-vehicle accident on Imperial Main Street at the exit ramp from southbound I-55, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:10 p.m., Potts was headed south in a 2012 GMC Sierra, and Steven J. Johnson, 48, of Barnhart was headed west in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and Johnson allegedly failed to stop at a red light, and the front of the Silverado struck the left rear side of the Sierra, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Johnson. However, Potts was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, according to the report.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Sierra was extensively damaged, and the Silverado had minor damage, the report said.
