David J. Moss, 21, of Imperial was hurt Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 2) in a motorcycle accident on Hwy. 61-67 at Telegraph Road in Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 2 p.m., Moss was riding a 2016 Tao Tao in the right lane of northbound Hwy. 61-67, and a southbound car that had stopped on the highway before attempting to turn left, failed to yield and turned into the path of the bike, the report said.
The front right side of the car, a 2007 Scion TC driven by Richard L. Swehla, 52, of Arnold, struck the front of the bike, according to the report.
No injuries were reported for Swehla.
Moss, however, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (Nov. 3).
He was wearing a helmet, and Swehla was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, the report said.
