A 63-year-old Imperial man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident in Arnold. The wreck happened about 2 a.m. July 6, Arnold Police reported.
The man was driving a 1999 Buick LeSabre south on Hwy. 141, and the car ran off the road near Arnold Commons Drive, where it hit three concrete curbs before going airborne and then landing on a grass embankment. The man ended up with a 4-inch long cut on his head and was transported to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
The driver was issued a citation to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for driving while intoxicated, careless and reckless driving, failure to maintain a single lane and failure to wear a seat belt, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
