An Imperial man and woman were injured Tuesday, April 30, in a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 141 at Romaine Creek Road in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11:34 a.m., Glenndon K. Cobb, 71, driving a northbound 2008 Ford Escape, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to travel off the right side of the road, strike a concrete island, travel down an embankment and strike a utility pole guy wire, the report said.
Glenndon Cobb had minor injuries, and a passenger, Laura A. Cobb, 70, was moderately injured, the report said. Both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
According to a hospital spokesman, both were in satisfactory condition as of this afternoon, May 1.
They were not wearing seat belts, and the vehicle had moderate damage, the report said.
