A 34-year-old House Springs woman has been arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated on drugs and other offenses following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning (Feb. 2) on Hwy. A west of Pioneer Road in the Hillsboro area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

The woman sustained moderate injuries in the accident, the report said.

At 11:37 a.m., she was driving a 2000 Honda Civic east on Hwy. A and crossed the center line before the car struck the left side of a westbound pickup, the report said.

Stephen I. Richards, 59, of De Soto was driving the pickup, a 2009 Ford F250. No injuries were reported for him.

The woman was taken by Valle Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County.

While at the hospital, she was arrested for the alleged DWI, as well as for felony possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license, the patrol reported.

She was wearing a seat belt, and so was Richards.

The Civic was totaled, and the pickup was extensively damaged, the report said.
