A House Springs woman was arrested following her involvement in a one-vehicle traffic accident early Saturday morning (Oct. 1) on Hwy. TT in southeast Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the woman, 37, was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer north on Hwy. TT south of Burley Road at 5:45 a.m. when she drove off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and a tree.
She sustained moderate injuries and was taken by car to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, the report said.
An update on her condition was not available.
While at the hospital, the woman was arrested by Highway Patrol officers on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license, all felonies.
She will not be named unless she is charged by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the report said. The Explorer was totaled.
